'Talking About Animals' at Lancaster's Campus in the City
I'll be joining Alison Sealey and Emma McClaughlin from the '"People," "Products," "Pests" and "Pets"' project at the University of Lancaster's Campus in the City week on April 26th, 2016. We'll be running a drop-in workshop from 10:00-16:00 that's open to people of all ages. Here's the description of the event that can be found on the Lancaster Campus in the City webpage:
Tuesday 26th April 10.00-16.00 Talking about Animals What makes your cat a pet and the cockroach in the kitchen a pest? Come and find out how the words we use affect the way we think about animals, and tell us how you feel about the animals we have in the shop.
I'm particularly intrigued by what attendees will make of the presence of animals in the 'shop,' and it's always illuminating day-long drop in events such as this. If you're about in Lancaster, that week, do pop in to see us, and do have a look at the other research from the University that will be showcased at various locations around the city - just click on one of the links above to visit the Lancaster Campus in the City "What's On" page.
